
Yup! That's me! Seems like a lifetime ago I looked like that. Think I was around 16 and 125lbs. So yes I have always been thick...
LOL, when I think back to that day I was soooooo self-conscious (notice how I'm in a one-piece, bikinis were a NO!). I never even wanted to take this pic with my then best friend, in part because I'd been told for years (especially by family) how fat I was and how big I was getting. So much so that when I actually did gain weight, I brushed it off as "I was always fat" thus efforts at weight loss were always half-hearted and short-lived.
BIG MISTAKE!
Not being nonchalant about my weight but rather my biggest mistake was letting other people, no matter how important to me, dictate how I felt about me. I never felt comfortable in shorts, thought twice about skirts. Funny enough, I was my most self-conscious at the point in my life where, relatively speaking, I looked my best.
Ain't that a bitch...
Anyways, this blog isn't about wallowing in self pity or regrets. It's about motivation and keeping a record of my journey- not to the concept of anyone else's idea of physically attractive but to mine.
That 5 year old pic is my target.
And this is my blog, my electronic diary so to speak- public yet personal so I'll admit up front I'm not posting a pic of me now. Maybe after I've had some progress I'd THINK about posting the before and after...
For now its, me and my personal trainer, a high protein-low carb diet and 4-5 days a week of training.

June 14th, 2010: Doddy FINALLY took my measurements to complete my body assessment and decided to weigh me again. GUESS WHAT??
Dropped 3lbs!!!

June 22nd, 2010: Added FUSION FITNESS to my work out regime.

June 24th, 2010: Doddy sent me my 4 week diet today, virtually NO CARBS! This shit is just BORING, DRAB food, but he says the closer I stick to it the sooner I can progress to a more liberal diet.
Pray for me!!
June 29th, 2010: I never knew how weak my will was until now :(
Big up my support team Shauns, Rissa & Krissy who scream, cuss and pressure me into thugging it out.
July 1st, 2010: Ordered my herbal supplement, doanno when I'll get them :S
July 2nd, 2010: Doddy made my day!!
I realised today that I do all my sets fully now, I couldn't before. So my fitness level is most definitely up, my legs and arms are much stronger and my breathing has improved :)
ICING ON THE CAKE: Doddy said today, "I can see that you've lost weight, it's visible now." ***doing mental wuk-ups*** :D
July 5th, 2010: Got my supplement today, popped the 1st one after lunch...but then I did a very very bad thing :(
Damn, this cheesecake is sinfully delicious!
July 10-18th 2010: B'day celebrations OUT TA ALL :D
so to be honest the diet got relaxed and I drank everything from champagne to coffee patron to whiskey (sometimes all of the above) AKA waaaaaayyy too many empty calories.
July 19th, 2010: Got one too many "You looking smaller" comments today so I insisted that we do an early assessment...
I seem to have lost at least 2 inches on my waist, 1.5 inches on my bust, an inch on my hips and thighs and weight loss appears to be up to 12 lbs.
Whoop! Whoop! :D
